An Alpha's Path by Carrie Ann Ryan Blog Tour - Guest Post

Welcome to my stop at An Alpha's Path by Carrie Ann Ryan Blog Tour. The tour is orgaqnized by Sizzling PR and by the author and will run until February 29th. My stop includes a guest post by the author and some information about the book and the author.

Summary of the book:

Melanie is a twenty-five year old chemist who has spent all of her adult life slaving at school. With her PhD in hand, she's to start her dream job, but before she does, her friend persuades her to relax and try to live again. A blind date set up through her friends seems like the perfect solution. Melanie can take one night away from the lab and let her inner vixen out on a fixed blind date - a chance to get crazy with a perfect stranger. The gorgeous hunk she's to meet exceeds her wildest dreams – be he is more than what he appears and Melanie's analytical mind goes into overdrive.

Kade, a slightly older werewolf (at over one hundred years), needs a night way from the Pack. Too many responsibilities and one near miss with a potential mate made Kade hide in his work, the only peace he can find. His brother convinces him to meet the sexy woman for a one night of fun. What could it hurt? But when he finds this woman could be his mate, can he convince her to leave her orderly, sane world and be with him and his wolf-half, for life?

What would you Do?

by Carrie Ann Ryan
We’ve all thought about it. Read enough paranormal romance and the thoughts creep in. What would you do if someone you love – or just beginning to love – is a paranormal creature? Would you scream? Would you laugh and say “I knew it!”? Would you run away? Would you hug them?

What would you do?

Well, I did take a look at what I would do. And it wasn’t the best thing. I mean, would I look at a werewolf who just changed in front of me and be calm? No. Not. At. All. Because no matter what I write in my books or read in others, seeing a man change into a wolf would still scare the crap out of me.

And it did the same to Melanie in An Alpha’s Path.

I mean, not everyone can say “Oh cool.” Shrug their shoulder and get on with it. I love the books that do – but then I love other books that do something else. That’s why I like reading. I get a different reaction and setting for each book. That’s why we all read – to get a new story and a new world.

Then what would you do if you decided that you were okay with the supernaturals, but then had to cut yourself off from the world in order to love your mate?

Could you do it?

Would you need time to think about it?

What would you do?

These are the questions that Melanie, a very lonely, socially awkward chemist, must face. She goes on am overnight blind date and finds out Kade is a werewolf. Yep. That sexy man is a werewolf. How does she react?

How would you react?

That’s why I love writing and reading paranormal. You never know what you’re going to get. But it’s fun either way.

  1. I just love were stories and Carrie Ann's writing style in particular. Great questions by the way . . . while I love reading about them, I just don't think I'd be too cool with a real were.

  2. I'm with Anya. I love to reading the stories, but I'm not sure how I would react. I guess it would depend on the wolf. Great post!

  3. Paranormal takes me away from the everyday routine. Thanks for the reminders on why I love it so much.

  4. I would scream like a banshee, look for the closest cross and then run, run, run!

  5. I've always suspected there is more to the world than meets the eye, so while shrieking and running I'd probably also be thinking "I told you so." You can't have read as much Stephen King as I have an not believe that some of it's real. :) Cool question, though!

  6. I love reading and writing paranormal, but if some guy either told me he was a vampire or turned into a wolf, I would LOSE it big time. No way would I accept it--or maybe I'd end up in the Nut House.

I don't like change. I like things to stay the same as I've always known them to be, so a werewolf or vampire would upset my balance, LOL.

  7. I'm not one of the cool people who don't flinch and I don't do well with change- soo, I'd freak for a time.

The book looks good thanks for sharing! I've put it on my wish list.
